Turkmenistan's law-enforcement agencies have uncovered and eliminated a criminal group involved in drug trafficking. In the course of the operation to detain criminals, a large amount of narcotics and firearms as well as a large sum of cash money in Turkmen manats and US dollars and also numerous golden items have been seized, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports quoting the Turkmen State Agency for Combating Drugs.

The Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries is the biggest enterprise producing over 25% of the goods manufactured in the country. The large-scale project on reconstruction and technology modernization of the enterprise enabled to ensure highly effective and deep refinement of raw oil into high-quality transport fuel, oil lubricants, polypropylene, liquefied gas and other oil products.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that supplies of Turkmen natural gas to Chinese consumers would start according to schedule. The head of state made this announcement on 18 September during a working visit to the right bank of Amudarya River, namely the Samandepe filed of the Bagtyyarlyk licensed territory where the Turkmenistan-China gas pipeline originates from.

In early October the Ministry of Culture and TV and Radio Broadcasting will hold the Turkmen Land – the Cradle of Early Cultures and Civilizations International Scientific Conference.
