The international conference on cross-border cooperation between Turkmenistan and the neighbouring countries closed in Ashgabat. The forum brought together the participants representing the law enforcement agencies and special services from Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Russia, Turkmenistan and Turkey and the international organisations inlcuding the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), the European Union BOMCA-CADAP Programme, the World Customs Organisation (WCO), OSCE, the Central Asian Regional Information and Coordination Centre (CARICC), ECO, Interpol, the UN Environment Programme (UNEP). The law enforcement officers and specialists of the interested ministries and departments of Turkmenistan, foreign diplomats and journalists took part in the conference.
