Ulyanovsk plants have secured agreements on increasing the supply of their products to Turkmenistan. The agreements were reached during the Russian National Exhibition in Ashgabat on August 29-31, the press service of the Ulyanovsk region administration said.

Starting this year, one thousand UAZ cars will be delivered for the ministry of agriculture of Turkmenistan, and over 50 UAZ cars will be delivered for the ministry of energy and industry of Turkmenistan. More off-road cars will be supplied for the interior ministry of Turkmenistan. The establishment of the UAZ service center in Ashgabat is also being considered.

The ministry of energy of Turkmenistan signaled its interest in establishing cooperation with Ulyanovsk Instrument-Making Design Office in the sphere of construction of small hydroelectric power stations and modernization of existing hydroelectric power stations. The ministry of agriculture of Turkmenistan reached an agreement on establishing contacts with Ulyanovsk State Agricultural Academy, as well as on supplies of rye and wheat from the selection fund. Ulyanovsk Stroypalstmass joint venture will increase the supply of products worth up to US $ 2.2 million for state and business companies of Turkmenistan.

Ulyanovsk region was recognized as the winner of a contest announced by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. The head of the Ulyanovsk region delegation, first deputy governor Alexander Pinokov, was awarded a certificate for winning the first place in development of cooperation with Turkmenistan among entities of the Russian Federation.
