The second international exhibition of telecommunications, telemetry, informational technologies and TV and Radio broadcasting “Turkmentel-2008” and scientific conference has opened in Sergi Koshgi Exhibition Hall of Ashgabat.

As the Ashgabat correspondent of Turkmenistan.ru reports, over 70 Turkmen and world manufacturers of telecommunication equipment, leading distributors and providers from 20 countries including Russia, Japan, Germany, USA, China, Great Britain, Finland take part in the event. Russia is represented by leading companies as MTS, Megaphone, Beeline, Golden Telecom, etc.

Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov sent his welcoming address to the participants of the exposition and conference. The text of the address has been published in today’s central newspapers.

Having expressed confidence that “these meetings will serve for the strengthening of friendship and brotherhood among world nations and development of international cooperation”, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to intensify mutually beneficial cooperation with all interested countries.

Convening of the 39th meeting of the Council of heads of communication administrations of the Regional Commonwealth in the communications sphere and 13th meeting of the Coordination Council of CIS member-states on information technologies has been dated to the Exhibition.
