Tatneft Open Joint-Stock Society (OAO) plans to open its branch in the territory of Turkmenistan. According to the company’s press-service, the division will be established to administer the company’s activities and provide services in the oil and gas sphere. The Board of Directors of Tatneft chaired by Tatarstan Prime Minister Rustam Minnihanov approved the relevant Regulations on September 25.

As is known, on July 4, in the frames of Russian President Dmitriy Medvedev’s official visit to Ashgabat, the heads of Tatneft and Turkmenneft signed the protocol on the development of cooperation in the oil and gas sphere. The Russian company plans to supply Turkmenistan with the wide range of oil and gas equipment and carry out drilling operations on the Turkmen fields.
