Turkmenistan has raised wages of employees of the Turkmenhovayollary national air company. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to this effect "with the aim of further development of the civil aviation of Turkmenistan."

Under the decree, wages of employees of the Turkmenhovayollary national air company and its subordinate organizations, who ensure flight safety (air crews, technical staff of the department of air traffic and other air staff), will double starting 1 October 2008.

The decree also approves the regulations on extra payments to the Turkmenhovayollary employees for specific work related to flight operations, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
