Five new gasoline stations opened in Turkmenistan Five modern gasoline stations were inaugurated in Ashgabat and in Ruhabat district of Akhal province. Gasoline pumps were installed by Turkish companies EPG Insaat Taahut Sanayi Tijaret LTD STI and Safak Insaat Makina Sanayi ve Tijaret LTD STI. The gasoline stations are owned by the ministry of oil and gas industry and mineral resources of Turkmenistan.
The storage and sale of gasoline and other oil products will be operated by computers and modern equipment. The gasoline stations boast card-operated pumps. They all have mini marts and spare parts shops,
Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov inaugurated one of the gasoline stations in Babaarap village on 22 October, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat. The head of state was the first customer to use a plastic card to refuel his car.
"New gasoline stations are symbols of energy power of Turkmenistan, recognized as one of the world's oil and gas powers," the Turkmen State News Agency (THD) said.
