Gidromashservice closed joint-stock company, which is part of GMS Group open joint-stock company, and the ministry of water economy of Turkmenistan signed a contract on the construction of a new water-lifting pump station in 2009 with the capacity of 35 cubic meters of water per second.

The station will be built on a "turnkey" basis at Yylgynagyz water channel in Lebap province. The cost of the contract is some US $ 20 million. The water station will be fitted with equipment made at Neftemash and Nasosenergomash joint-stock companies, which are also part of GMS Group, the company's press center said.

The construction will be carried out within the framework of the reconstruction of hydro- engineering facilities of Lebap province. The project will make it possible to provide water to 35 thousand hectares of land as well as to develop virgin lands.
