Ukrainian mining and smelting company interested in increasing supplies to Turkmen market The OJSC Ukrainian Mining and Smelting Company (UMSC) is interested in increasing the supplies of metal production to the promising Turkmen market where the demand for metal is clearly growing. This growth is due to the rise in Turkmenistan's fuel and energy sector hydrocarbon extraction and processing and production of high-quality petrochemicals, and the creation of the national diversified system of hydrocarbon exports to the world markets, the company press release said. The Ukrainian Mining and Smelting Company is currently completing the fulfillment of a contract for supply of 1,500 tons of metal-roll for the TukrmenMashynGurlushyk state concern. The delegation of UMSC participated in the international exhibition "Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan - 2008" on 19-21 November. Within the frames of the exhibition, representatives of the UMSC held a number of meetings with Turkmenistan's ministries as well as such corporations as the TurkmenGas, TurkmenGeologia, TurkmenNefteGasStroy, and others.
