Gasprom and Turkmenistan agree on basic conditions of construction of Turkmen sector of Caspian gas pipeline

The head of the board of directors of Russia's Gazprom open joint-stock company, Aleksey Miller met the Turkmen vice-premier, Tachberdi Tagiyev, in Ashgabat on 25 December. During the meeting, the sides agreed on the basic conditions of specifications for the construction of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian gas pipeline and a gas purifying facility at the South Yoloten deposit, the Russian company's press service said.

An agreement was signed in July this year on Gasprom's participation in the investment projects in the gas sphere in Turkmenistan, the press service reports. This agreement provides for financing and constructing new gas pipelines, developing deposits and increasing the annual flow capacity of the Turkmen sector of the Caspian gas pipeline to up to 30 billion cub. m.
