Turkmen producers demonstrate textile, carpet and jewelry products in Moscow An exhibition titled "Textile, carpet and jewelry products of Turkmenistan - 2009" opened at the Expocenter in Krasnaya Presnya in Moscow. It was organized by the Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Russia and Turkmenistan. Turkmen deputy prime minister, minister of foreign affairs Rashid Meredov and Russian first deputy prime minister Victor Zubkov, the co-chairmen of the intergovernmental Turkmen-Russian commission for trade-economic cooperation, attended the opening ceremony. Rashid Meredov read out a greeting message from Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the exhibition organizers. The Turkmen leader expressed confidence that the exhibition of textile, carpet and jewelry products of Turkmenistan in Moscow would stimulate a significant growth in trade-economic relations between the two countries and new dynamics of cooperation between Turkmen and Russian businessmen. At the exhibition Turkmen producers showcase hand-made silk and wool carpets, products made of camel wool, felt and silk fabric (keteni), gold and silver ware, textile industry products, polytrophic products and souvenirs. The high guests viewed all exhibits and talked to Turkmen producers and businessmen, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Moscow.
