"U.S. companies wish to cooperate with the Government of Turkmenistan in implementing its strategy to diversify energy exports. The U.S. Department of Energy, in turn, strongly supports the idea of diversifying exports of gas from Turkmenistan. I know that American companies are interested in taking part in the implementation of a pipeline project from Turkmenistan to Europe, to Pakistan and India," Meryl Burpoe noted.
According to her, the U.S. Department of Energy has invited the best experts from around the world to attend the workshop "so that they, together with technical experts from Turkmenistan, share experiences on keeping the existing pipeline system of Turkmenistan at a high operational level, its further development, as well as construction of new pipelines."
In addition to representatives of the U.S. Energy Department, the seminar was attended by leading specialists and experts from Pensen, Chevron, ExxonMobil, KBR and Universal Pegasus companies
