Greeting the leader of the Turkmen state the guests expressed gratitude for the opportunity to discuss the issues of mutually advantageous cooperation and focused on the companies’ intense interest in establishing long-term business contacts with dynamically developing Turkmenistan.
Reaffirming Turkmenistan’s adherence to the policy of wide international partnership Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the major priorities of this partnership included enhancement of collaboration with the leading German companies known for their potential as well as adherence to the commitments undertaken.
During the meeting the German businessmen reported on the work done to comply with the instructions of the Turkmen leader. In particular, they presented the draft project of an air terminal in Ashgabat to the President for review. The project had been developed in collaboration with Turkmenhowayollary State National Service.
Upon thoroughly reviewing the German partners’ proposals Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov provided the remarks and suggestions on the architectural design of the future facilities. The President said that innovative technologies and latest engineering and technical thoughts must be embodied in each facility under construction in the country. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that wide application of scientific and technological advances in practice was a priority aspect of development of modern Turkmenistan that aimed to modernize all spheres of activity.
Assuring the President that all the suggestions would be taken into consideration the top managers of HOCHTIEF AG and EWC said that their companies stood ready to actively collaborate in any project offered by Turkmenistan. In this regard it was noted that the project on creation of Avaza national tourism zone on the Caspian Sea coast opened up the vast opportunities for cooperation in different fields.
In conclusion Herbert Lutkestratkotter and Rudi Lamprecht thanked President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the trust granted to the companies and emphasized that they would spare no effort to fulfill the designated plans of cooperation and further expand Turkmen-German partnership in whole.
