MTS Turkmenistan launches wireless Internet service to physical persons

On June 9, OAO Mobile TeleSystems launched a wireless GPRS Internet service for users of all tariff plans of "MTS Turkmenistan" in all regions of the country, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat quoting the company's press release.

Those Turkmen users of MTS who subscribe to the Internet tariff plan will get a high-speed access to the world web thanks to the EDGE network.MTS is going to expand GPRS services until the end of this year. Internet users will be able to use a WAP portal and MMS service.

It should be recalled that "MTS Turkmenistan" became the first mobile service operator in the country in March 2008, and now it has launched a GPRS Internet service.

Until recently, this service was limited to a corporate market only. Today, more than 750 MTS corporate clients, including private companies and state organizations, use this service.
