New high-rate inflow of gas obtained at Bagadja field in western Turkmenistan

The commercial inflow of natural gas with a rate of over one million cubic meters has been obtained from N 37 test well drilled at the Bagadja field by specialist of the Lebapnebitgasgozleg department of the Turkmengeologiya state concern.

As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent was told in the Turkmengeologiya state concern in Ashgabat, the total depth of the hydrocarbon well amounts to more than 3 thousand meters. Tests and evaluations are currently under way there to define characteristics of the productive layer.

The Bagadja field is one of the most promising gas-condensate fields in Lebap province of Turkmenistan. A modern gas processing complex built by Canadian company Thermo Design Engineering operates there using the field's resources. The complex produces liquefied gas, which is mainly exported, and gas-condensate, which is sent to the Seyydi oil refinery to produce high-quality light oil products that are in great demand in the world markets.
