President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov attended the ceremony of putting the Ahal oil mill into operation. An exhibition dedicated to the 1st International Gas Congress of Turkmenistan, which will start on April 14, opened at the Exhibition Palace in Ashgabat. As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat, 80 foreign firms as well as organizations of Turkmenistan's energy sector participate in the exhibition. More than 150 international organizations and companies from 32 countries will participate in the gas congress.

The specialists of the Turkmengeologiya State Concern received a thick gas flow while testing well 1 in the Minara deposit in Yoloten Etrap, Mary Velayat. The geologists’ success devoted to the National Flag Day symbolically coincided with the Turkmen leader’s visit to Mary Velayat, where the President was attending the ceremonies of launching newly constructed facilities.

The programme aimed at implementing Turkmenistan’s profound economic potential assigns a special role to Turkmenbashi complex of oil refineries. Having set the task to accelerate the development of the fuel and energy complex, which stands as n engine of the national economy, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov specified the increase in oil and gas production and processing into high-quality competitive products as the priorities. This task is being successfully fulfilled today, and the most vivid illustration of the effectiveness of the measures taken in this field is the firstling of the national petrochemical industry.
