Turkmenistan celebrates Textile Industry Day each first Sunday of June. On this day the International Exhibition aimed at demonstrating the impressive achievements of the youngest and dynamically developed sector of Turkmen economy and attracting the world’s leading textile equipment producers and the large foreign companies in collaborating in the large-scale projects will be opened at the largest in Central Asian region Exhibition Centre in Ashgabat.
A Turkmen-Korean economic forum was held in Ashgabat on May 16 as part of the Republic of Korea official delegation's visit to Turkmenistan. The delegation is led by South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo. The Korean delegation also includes representatives of state organizations and world famous Korean companies such as LG, Samsung, Daewoo and others. Turkmenistan's delegation consisted of heads and specialists of a number of leading ministries and organizations.
During the Turkmen-Korean talks in Ashgabat on May 16, Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the purchase of Hyundai city buses. The decree signals Turkmenistan's readiness to expand a dialogue with Korean partners, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) reports. The head of state noted that in case of successful adaptation of vehicles to local climate conditions Turkmenistan would purchase up to 500 Hyundai city buses.

Economy and Business : MTS to invest some US 150 million in projects in Turkmenistan
Russian Mobile TeleSystems (MTS) company is to invest no less than US $ 150 million in joint projects in the next three years, said MTS President Leonid Melamed at a meeting with Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in Ashgabat on May 13.
