Turkmennebit and Turkmengaz senior officials visit the enterprise of UPETROM-May 1 JSC

The senior officials of the of the Turkmennebit State Concern and the Turkmengaz State Concern, who were accompanying the Turkmen leader on the official visit to the Republic of Romania, visited the enterprise of the UPETROM-May 1 JSC in Ploesti. The enterprise with the 90-year history produces about 80 percent of oil and gas equipment in the country. The company has the representations offices in over 20 countries worldwide.

UPETROM-May 1 is a long-term partner of our country. In Turkmenistan the company is implementing the contract amounted to over US$ 2 million. Today this co-operation has every requisite for being successfully maintained and expanded to achieve the goals of the strategy of development of Turkmenistan’s fuel and energy sector.

Thanking for the excursion around the workshops the Turkmen guests invited the UPETROM-May 1 top managers to take part in the annual Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan International Exhibition, which would be held in Ashgabat this autumn. The Romanian partners accepted the invitation with gratitude and said that they would bring the samples of equipment manufactured by the enterprise. It should be noted that this equipment is known for the certified high quality meeting the European, American and Russian standards. UPETROM-May 1 manufactured the equipment used for extracting oil in the offshore areas that opens the vast opportunities for intensifying mutually advantageous co-operation. The Romania company showed intense interest in this co-operation during the meeting with the senior officials of Turkmenistan’s largest fuel and energy agencies.
