President of Turkmenistan receives Polimeks CEO President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received CEO of Turkish Polimeks Erol Tabanja.
Thanking the Turkmen leader for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest emphasized that the Turkish company was sincerely proud of co-operation with Turkmenistan and effective collaboration in the large-scale reform programmes initiated by the President throughout the country.
Erol Tabanja reported on the progress of the important projects implemented in Ashgabat including the Monument to Constitution, TV tower and Bagt Koshgi (Wedding Palace). The Turkish businessman reported on the work on the project of the Olympic village, which would spring up in the Turkmen capital in the nearest future. The guest presented the draft design of the winter sports complex including the ice arena and building of the hockey school. Everyone willing could go skating and play hockey at the complex including the gymnasiums and fitness clubs, rehabilitation and medical centre, etc. The complex would be built in the southwestern part of Ashgabat nearby the Water Sports Complex where the Olympic village would grow up.
The project of a military town, which would be constructed in immediate proximity to the buildings of the Ministry of Defence and the Military Institute, was presented to the President. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made some suggestions and asked to revise the project.
Upon thoroughly considering the project of the sports complex the President focused on its importance for further development of physical culture and sports in Turkmenistan, wide propagation of the healthy lifestyle especially among young people. Positively appreciating Polimeks’s activities Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov made the specific remarks and suggested that the Turkish company would construct a 10,000-seat ice stadium. The President instructed Ashgabat Khyakim D. Orazov to announce and hold the presentation of the Olympic Village Project and the conference timed to the presentation this September.
Touching upon urban planning partnership Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov suggested that the Turkish company would elaborate and present the project on improvement of the esplanade stretching out from the east to the west of Ashgabat.
Expressing satisfaction at the results of fruitful collaboration with Polimeks the President said that he expected the Turkish partners to take a creative, innovative approach to the projects entrusted to the company. The President noted that the modern, advanced engineering technologies should be applied in construction and architectural style of the buildings and their interiors along with the original design solutions. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the first requirements foreign partners were to meet included the high quality of construction works and observance of the contractual obligations.
Upon concluding the meeting Erol Tabanja expressed sincere gratitude to the President for high confidence and emphasized that the Turkmen leader’s suggestions would be taken into consideration. The Polimeks CEO assured that the company would strictly fulfill its partner obligations.
