President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Director General of Belgian ENEX process engineering SA Koen Minne.

Greeting the Turkmen leader the businessman cordially congratulated Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 17th anniversary of independence and wished the leader and the people of Turkmenistan welfare and success on the path of the historic changes and reforms.

Mr. Koen Minne noted that the Belgian and European large business companies showed invariably intense interest in establishing long-term co-operation with Turkmen partners. The guest said that the results of the independent audit of the group of deposits Southern Yoloten-Osman and Yashlar field were of particular interest to the business circles in Europe that was reflected in a rapidly increased number of the companies willing to operate on the very promising Turkmen market. In this regard the businessman reaffirmed the company’s intention to intensify co-operation with Turkmenistan

Showing satisfaction at this information Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan was always open for mutually advantageous co-operation. Highly appreciating ENEX’s activity the President invited the Belgian company to actively collaborate in implementing the large-sale programmes on development of various sectors of the national economy including modernization of production infrastructure.

In this context the sides discussed the progress of the projects implemented by ENEX in Turkmenistan and exchanged views on the potential of mutually advantageous co-operation in the fuel and fuel sector, processing, petrochemical industries, production of mineral fertilizers in particular. The use of the renewable energy sources – the solar and wind energy was mentioned among the promising fields of co-operation.

In occlusion Mr. Koen Minne cordially thanked Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the opportunity of a personal meeting and said that ENEX was proud of co-operation with Turkmenistan and spare no effort to justify the high confidence granted.
