Turkmen president receives credentials from new ambassador of Kazakhstan

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received a newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Turkmenistan, Askhat Orazbay, who presented his credentials to the president of Turkmenistan.

The diplomat conveyed greetings and best wishes of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev to the president of Turkmenistan. The ambassador noted that "he is happy and honored to represent interests of his country in brotherly Turkmenistan."

The sides expressed deep satisfaction with the level of interstate dialogue that has recently got to a qualitatively new level, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat quoting the press service of the president of Turkmenistan. The sides also exchanged views on the pace of development of bilateral relations as well as on prospects for mutually beneficial cooperation, first of all in key areas such as energy, communication, textile industry and others.

The humanitarian sphere was called a priority area of the Turkmen-Kazakh relations as an inalienable factor of building trust, mutual understanding and further rapprochement of the two friendly neighbor peoples. In this regard, the Kazakh ambassador briefed the president of Turkmenistan on the progress of preparations for Days of Kazakh Culture in Turkmenistan scheduled for 2009.
