President says sanitary condition of Abadan city unsatisfactory

The development of Abadan city, a satellite city of Ashgabat, will be continued in accordance with a resolution signed by Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The head of state issued instructions with regard to the further development of this city in the course of a working tour of the capital city and nearby areas on 12 November, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.

Flying by helicopter over Abadan, the president of Turkmenistan said the sanitary condition of the city was unsatisfactory and demanded that measures should be taken immediately to eliminate existing shortcomings.

The city mayor, Orazgeldi Datdovov, was reprimanded for unsatisfactory performance of his official duties and violating the sanitary norms in the territory of Abadan city.

Similar reprimands were administered to Annamyrat Orazov, deputy minister of health and medical industry and chairman of the state sanitary-epidemiological service of Turkmenistan, and Guljemal Ezizova, deputy governor of Akhal province for education, culture, healthcare and sports.
