The forum participants exchanged views on the opportunities and future trends of mutually advantageous co-operation and specified the priority fields of partnership. The Lithuanian guests said that they aimed their visit at studying Turkmenistan’s economic potential and establishing effective long-term relations. Putting emphasis on the great prospects of the Turkmen market providing the considerable business opportunities including the favourable investment climate the Lithuanian businessmen put forward the particular initiatives for co-operation.
The Lithuanian delegation representing the leading enterprises and companies specialized in providing a broad range of products and services including PAROC, ORANDA, Baltvesta, Linas AGRO, TRANSKALIS and the others demonstrated readiness to collaborate in construction and food industries, agricultural sector, printing industry, transport and the sphere of healthcare.
The basic programmes of Turkmenistan’s social and economic development prioritizing co-operation with foreign partners were presented to the members of the Lithuanian delegation. In this context the partners called for expanding and diversifying trade and economic co-operation, increasing the trade turnover between the two countries. The Lithuanian businessmen showed keen interest in the international projects initiated by Turkmenistan including the Avaza National Project.
Upon concluding the meeting the partners focused on the necessity of continuing the constructive dialogue started in Ashgabat, which had every requisite for successful development.
