President of Turkmenistan receives Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates Sultan Sayed Mohammad Bin Naser Al-Mansuri who had arrived in the Turkmen capital leading the representative delegation.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting and heartfelt welcome extended in the Turkmen land the guest conveyed the warm greetings to the Turkmen leader on behalf of UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and Prime Minister and Vice President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and the ruler of Dubai Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum. The guest said that the United Arab Emirates attached profound significance to the enhancement of the traditionally friendly relations and intensification of fruitful cooperation with Turkmenistan as an exceptionally promising and dependable business partner.

The UAE Minister informed that on the first day of the visit to Ashgabat the delegation had held the effective talks at the Government and the Ministry of Economy and Development of Turkmenistan to discuss a broad range of the issues of trade and economic cooperation. In this regard the guest put emphasis on the significance of the Turkmen leader’s initiative to establish the bilateral intergovernmental commission which was to encourage the specific trends in partnership.

Thanking for the warm greetings President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed the best wishes to the UAE President and the leadership of the country reaffirming Turkmenistan’s adherence to full-scale long-term cooperation. Focusing with satisfaction at the high level of the intergovernmental dialogue the Turkmen leader expressed belief that a new step towards enhancing and maintaining it would be the visit of UAE President Khalifa bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan to Turkmenistan this year that was looked forward to in the country.

During the meeting the sides discussed the priority trends and further development of bilateral cooperation focusing on the implementation of the top level agreements. In this context emphasis was put on the partners’ mutual interest in expanding effective partnership in the whole spectrum of fields including energy sector, construction, transport, recreation and tourism industries in particular. Expressing belief that steadily enhanced collaboration would create new incentives Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highly appreciated the role of the bilateral intergovernmental commission that had been established to reflect the dynamics of the relations between the friendly countries.

Completely supporting the Turkmen leader’s viewpoint Sultan Sayed Mohammad Bin Naser Al-Mansuri emphasized that the United Arab Emirates took intense interest in the ongoing large-scale progressive reforms initiated by Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and stood ready to consider any opportunity to collaborate in new joint projects. The guest informed that the Arab business circles had intense interest in the investment projects implemented in Avaza national tourism zone – the future world-class resort on the ecologically pure Caspian Sea coast. The Minister noted that the UAE companies stood ready to offer their profound expertise in tourism and service industry to Turkmen partners. To study the opportunities to develop mutually advantageous business partnership the UAE official delegation including the top managers of the large companies and businessmen visited Turkmenbashi town. Welcoming such a constructive approach to cooperation the Turkmen leader invited the Arab businessmen to collaborate in the ongoing large-scale projects and reform programmes in Turkmenistan.

Upon concluding the meeting the sides expressed belief that the dialogue between the two countries bound with the ties of spiritual kinship, sincere friendship and mutual respect and confidence would be effectively furthered.

UAE Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Mr. Hasan Abdullah Al-Adab attended the meeting.
