President of Turkmenistan receives Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Minister of International Cooperation of the Arab Republic of Egypt Mrs. Fayza Abul-Naga who had arrived in Ashgabat leading the representative delegation to take part in the first meeting of the Turkmen-Egyptian intergovernmental commission for economic, scientific and technical cooperation.

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guest conveyed the heartfelt greetings and best wishes to Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on behalf of President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Hosni Mubarak and emphasized that the ongoing grandiose reforms of Turkmenistan were of great interest to Egypt as well as the countries worldwide. Expressing complete support to the Turkmen leader’s policy the Egyptian Minister of International Cooperation focused on the positive role of Turkmenistan which stood nowadays as the universally recognized peacemaking centre, the bulwark of peace and stability in the Central Asian region.
Expressing the heartfelt wished to the leadership of the friendly country the Turkmen leader focused with satisfaction on the high level of the intergovernmental dialogue built on the principles of equality an mutual benefit in the interests of two friendly peoples.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that calling for wide international cooperation with all interested countries Turkmenistan viewed Egypt as an important and long-term partner that was particularly illustrated by the consistently developed relationships between the two countries and mutual contacts notably intensified at different levels.

Exchanging views on the current level and future trends in development of mutually advantageous cooperation based on age-old friendship, spiritual and cultural kinship of the Turkmen and the Egyptian peoples the ides focused in the role of the intergovernmental commission established on the initiative of the Turkmen partners to implement the existing huge potential of partnership in full and substantially expand traditional contacts.
Highly appreciating the exceptional effectiveness of the meetings and talks at the national ministries and departments conducted by the Egyptian delegation during the visit to Ashgabat Mrs. Fayza Abul-Naga focused on the mutual interest in establishing close constructive collaboration in the whole spectrum of fields. The fuel and energy, trade, agriculture, healthcare and tourism sectors were characterized as the most important fields for the partners to concert efforts effectively.
The President and his guest were unanimous to call for intensifying fruitful humanitarian contacts focusing on the significance of further cultural exchange that enhanced mutual understanding and confidence between two peoples and development of collaboration in education in which the partners had accumulated the profound positive experience of joint activity.
