A delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Canada led by Director General of the Global Partnership Program (GPP) Troy Lulashnyk visits Ashgabat. This programme was launched in 2002 at the G8 Summit in Kananaskis to enhance international security. The Global Partnership Program is designed and sponsored by Canada.

During the visit the guests were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and held the meetings at the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry to discuss the aspects of mutually advantageous cooperation. The Canadian delegation visited the healthcare establishments in Ashgabat and Mary.
