12 documents signed on results of Turkmen-Russian summit in Moscow

12 bilateral documents were signed today in Kremlin on results of talks between the president of Turkmenistan and the president of the Russian Federation. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Dmitriy Medvedev issued a joint statement for press, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Moscow.

Among the documents signed there is an intergovernmental agreement on promotion and mutual protection of investments. It was signed by Turkmen deputy prime minister Tuvakmamed Japarov and Russian deputy minister of economic development Alexander Klepach.

A set of documents signed in Moscow also includes two intergovernmental agreements in the sphere of education. The first is on mutual recognition of state education certificates. The second is on cooperation in certification of research fellows and research-educational workers. Both documents were signed by Turkmen deputy prime minister Hydyr Saparliyev and Russian first deputy prime minister Victor Zubkov.

Turkmen deputy prime minister Nazarguly Shaguliyev and Russian minister of transport Igor Letvin signed an intergovernmental agreement on the establishment of an international railway-ferry route through the ports of Astrakhan water transportation hub, Mahachkala (Russia) and Turkmenbashi (Turkmenistan).

Turkmen agriculture minister Esenmyrat Orazgeldiyev and Russian agriculture minister Yelena Skrynnik signed a memorandum of understanding between the two ministries.

Heads of law enforcement agencies of Turkmenistan and Russia signed: an agreement between the State Border Service of Turkmenistan and the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation on cooperation in border issues and Protocol N 1 to it on staff training; Protocol N 11 to the agreement on cooperation between the National Security Ministry of Turkmenistan and the National Security Ministry of the Russian Federation; Protocol N 12 to the agreement on cooperation between the National Security Ministry of Turkmenistan and the National Security Ministry of the Russian Federation on staff training; an agreement on cooperation between the Interior Ministry of Turkmenistan and the Interior Ministry of the Russian Federation; an agreement on cooperation between the Prosecutor General's office of Turkmenistan and the Prosecutor General's office of the Russian Federation.
