Turkmenistan, Korean Republic sign bilateral documents.

Set of bilateral documents was signed on results of the Turkmen-Korean talks held in Ashgabat on May 16. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, South Korean Prime Minister Han Seung-soo as well as members of official delegation of the two countries attended the signing ceremony, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) said.

The governments of the two countries signed a memorandum of understanding in the sphere of transport. Turkmenistan and South Korea also signed memorandums on cooperation in the sphere of construction, textile technologies, research of energy policy and planning.

Memorandums of understanding were signed between the ministry of motor transportation of Turkmenistan and Hyundai corporation, the ministry of energy and industry of Turkmenistan and the Republic of Korea Power Corporation, the Chamber of Commerce of Turkmenistan and the Korean Association of International Trade.

Other than this, the Turkmendenizderiyayollary (Turkmen sea and rive ways) department and the ministry of land, transport and sea of the Republic of Korea signed a memorandum on cooperation for modernization of a seaport in the city of Turkmenbashi.

The foreign economic activities bank of Turkmenistan and ExIm bank of the Republic of Korea signed a memorandum on the inter-bank export credit.
