President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbaev had a telephone conversation.

Exchanging the heartfelt greetings the leaders of two neighbouring countries exchanged the cordial wishes for the coming sacred month of Oraza that symbolized the imperishable spiritual values for all Muslims across the world – peace, heartedness, humaneness to the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan.

Highly appreciating the high dynamics of intergovernmental collaboration built of the firm foundation of the age-old traditions of friendship and fraternity bound the two peoples the sides focused on the need to intensify the Turkmen-Kazakh dialogue as a determining factor of fruitful cooperation aimed at full-scale implementation of its profound potential. In this regard the Presidents highly appreciated the role of the intergovernmental commission and agreed to start preparations for its regular meeting.

Calling for further intensification of partnership in the whole spectrum of fields the Presidents discussed the progress in implementing the agreements and the large-scale joint projects in the strategic fields such as energy industry and transport.

The sides expressed the mutual commitment to closely cooperate at the bilateral and regional level. In this regard the leaders of two countries focused with satisfaction on the high pace of implementation of the unprecedented project on construction of Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan –Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline that was completion and to be put into this December. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov invited Nursultan Nazarbaev to attend the ceremony of putting this transnational gas pipeline into operation.

The Turkmen leader also said that he was happy to welcome the leader of Kazakhstan as an honorary guest to the ceremony that would take place upon finishing the Silk Road-200 Rally that would cross the territories of three countries and become a symbol of unshakable friendship among the peoples of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan and Russia. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov informed that this ceremony would take place in Balkan Velayat in the first half of September.

The invitations were accepted with gratitude.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan-Uzbekistan –Kazakhstan-China gas pipeline as well as the Caspian gas pipeline vividly illustrated successful cooperation to address challenges and problems of the modern world including achievement of global energy security and diversification of transit of energy to international markets.

The sides noted that the project of Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan-Iran railway was another illustration of concerted efforts to strengthen peace and wellbeing in the region and the entire Eurasian continent. It was noted that construction would be completed according to schedule.

Exchanging views on the urgent issues of international cooperation Nursultan Nazarbaev invited Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to take part in the high-level meeting which would take place in Aktau this September.

Accepting the invitation with gratitude the Turkmen leader noted that such meetings were a splendid opportunity to harmonize views on the important aspects of cooperation.

In conclusion the leaders of two countries focused on the firmness of the ties of friendship and good neighborliness between the peoples of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan and expressed the wishes of peace, happiness and wellbeing.
