As the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat citing the press service of the Turkmen leader, during the forthcoming informal meeting the heads of the Caspian states are going to discuss the prospects for further co-operation, based on equality and mutual respect, and exchange views on the most topical issues of mutual interest.

The report notes that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to strengthening relations with its closest neighbors that are involved in the implementation of a number of important projects in economy, trade, transport and communication, and humanitarian spheres.

The current meeting can be viewed "as another incontrovertible evidence of mutual commitment and determination of neighboring countries to raise the traditional partnership to a qualitatively new level, make it businesslike and constructive in the light of the positive experience of cooperation, the achievements of national economies and, of course, the huge economic and resource potential," the official report emphasized.
