Greeting the honorary Turkmen guest in the United States Mr. Henry Kissinger expressed satisfaction with an opportunity to have a personal meeting with the leader of Turkmenistan and discussed the most important issues of world politics and bilateral cooperation.

Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that he highly valued an opportunity to know the respectful politician’s opinion about the problems, which aroused interest worldwide and discuss the aspects of the Turkmen-American relationships.

Exchanging views on the issues of mutual interest the sides expressed satisfaction with intensification of versatile Turkmen-American partnership that met the potential of both countries and mutual interests. Mr. Henry Kissinger noted that for its geographical location and consistent policy of neutrality Turkmenistan played a notable role in ensuring peace and stability in the Central Asian region that, eventually, had a positive impact on the country’s authority on a world arena. Touching upon Turkmenistan’s active constructive approach to reliable and stable energy transit Mr. Henry Kissinger put emphasis on the significance of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s initiative to diversify export pipeline infrastructure of Turkmenistan.

Upon concluding the meeting, which was held in the sincere and friendly atmosphere, the sides expressed belief that a new stage in the relations between two countries notable for openness and a businesslike approach would promote further harmonizing the interests on an equal mutually advantageous basis.
