Politics : Meeting between President of Turkmenistan and Turkish Prime Minister |

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the honorary guest conveyed the heartfelt greetings on behalf of President of Turkey Abdullah Gul, who had expressed the best wishes to the Turkmen leader.
Focusing on the special significance attached by the Government of Turkey to development of the intergovernmental relationships with friendly Turkmenistan Recep Tayip Erdogan said that the Turkish people were sincerely proud of the achievements gained by their Turkmen brothers, who were advancing along the path of grandiose economic and social reforms initiated by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
During the meeting, which turned into a conversation about the current state and prospects for further collaboration in the whole spectrum of fields, the sides expressed intense interest of Turkmenistan and Turkey in enhancing mutually advantageous cooperation, successful development of which were guaranteed by the political will and inexhaustible economic and resource potential of the two countries.
The key vectors of partnership included tourism where concerting efforts was deemed quite effective through implementing the large-scale project on creation of Avaza national tourism zone and Turkmenistan’s plans on further development of this exceptionally promising sector of Turkmen economy.
Expressing belief that the world-class seaside resort being created on the ecologically pure coast of the Caspian Sea had a great future the Prime Minister informed of the profound interest of Turkey’s business community in expansion of their operation on the very promising Turkmen market and active collaboration in the ongoing projects in Turkmenistan.
Highly appreciating the specific nature of the relationships with Turkey, which Turkmenistan was bound with the geographical closeness and deeply rooted economical and cultural affinities with, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov put emphasis on Turkmenistan’s readiness to maintain the fruitful long-term dialogue with Turkish partners, who profoundly contributed to successful implementation of the ongoing large-scale reform programmes in the country.
In conclusion President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Recep Tayip Erdogan expressed the mutual belief that the traditional intergovernmental dialogue that had been made more constructive and pragmatic in recent years would be brought up to a qualitatively new and higher level meeting the fraternal states and their peoples in he near future.
