In the course of the two-day meeting, representatives of Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Turkmenistan continued clause-by-clause discussion of the provisions of the Convention, reaffirming their common desire to reach a mutually acceptable solution on this important issue, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reported quoting the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry. The parties noted with satisfaction the convergence of positions and endorsement of certain articles of the draft Convention.

Following the meeting, a communique was issued. An agreement was also reached on holding the 27th meeting of the Special Working Group in the first quarter of next year in Tehran, the capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
