State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH) President of Turkmenistan receives Bouygues top managers
President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Bouygues CEO Martin Bouygues, who had arrived in Ashgabat leading the delegation of the company’s top managers.
Cordially greeting the Turkmen leader Martin Bouygues said that he was very glad to visit again Turkmenistan, with which the Bouygues Company were bound with many years of close and fruitful co-operation. Congratulating the President on the remarkable achievements Turkmenistan had gained on the path of the fundamental reforms affecting all spheres of the life of the Turkmen society Martin Bouygues emphasized that the reforms initiated in Turkmenistan were of intense interest to and recognized by the world community.
Thanking the Bouygues CEO for the kind words Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan greatly aspired to a higher level of development that would enable to guarantee the worthy life quality, welfare and property to citizens of Turkmenistan. That was the large-scale reform programmes were aimed at, the President said inviting the French partners to collaborate in these programmes.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that the country was living to the rhythm of constructive labour actively expanding international co-operation. The main demand that Turkmenistan made to the partners – the high quality of works and putting the facilities into operation by the time fixed. In this regard Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the serious claims to the Bouygues top managers for violating the contractual commitments.
Martin Bouygues admitted the claims and assured the President that the French company highly interested in co-operating with Turkmenistan would spare no efforts and potential to complete successfully the projects and prove its high reputation of a reliable partner in practice.
Then the sides discussed the aspects of the important projects implemented by the Bouygues Company in Turkmenistan as well as the future trends of further co-operation. In particular, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the necessity of accelerating the projects implemented by the French company in Ashgabat.
Then the Bouygues specialists presented the draft construction projects including a fashionable five-point hotel, the largest one in the region, to be built in the city centre. The French designers and architects demonstrated a video clip presenting various designs of the interior of the hotel.
Upon considering the projects and draft design of the international airport in Ashgabat the Turkmen leader focused on significance of the facilities with due regard to expanded international co-operation. The President said that the air gateway of Turkmenistan should be built in compliance with the modern requirements, advanced technologies and international safety standards.
Then the President and the Bouygues CEO held the one to one talks on the aspects of further development of partnership.
