The meeting participants discussed a draft concept of food security of the CIS. The main purpose of this document is to form a coherent agro-industrial policy and timely response to the fluctuations at global food markets. The concept envisages measures to ensure mutually beneficial trade relations, the establishment and functioning of the market of meat and dairy products, trade turnover of fruits and vegetables in the CIS.

According to the official report, the sides exchanged views on topical issues of mutual cooperation and discussed the agenda of the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Council.
