Turkmen deputy prime minister Hojamuhammet Muhammedov briefed the president of Turkmenistan on preparations to the forum "Promising Areas of Turkmen-Russian Cooperation" at a regular government meeting on June 20.

Representatives of chambers of commerce of the two countries and heads of Russia's biggest companies will attend a two-day business meeting to be held in Ashgabat on 23-24 June, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.

Having stressed the importance of expanding international contacts, including with Russian companies, famous and newcomers alike, the head of state underlined the need to further increase the traditional mutually beneficial cooperation with business circles of a friendly state, the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH) said.
