Turkmenistan will celebrate New Year from 1 to 3 January. January 4, Sunday, will be a normal working day in Turkmenistan. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to this effect at a government meeting, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.

An official ceremony was held in two border provinces of neighboring Afghanistan to lay the foundation for a hospital and a school to be built by Turkmenistan as a gift to the people of this country. A governmental delegation of Turkmenistan arrived there to attend the ceremony.
