President of Turkmenistan receives top managers of the German companies

President of Turkmensitan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the top managers of the German companies: RWE AG President and CEO Dr. Jurgen Grossmann, Marketing Director Stefan Judis, Executive Advisor to the CEO of Siemens AG Rudi Lamprecht

Thanking for the opportunity of a personal meeting the guests wished Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Happy New Year and noted that they were glad to visit Ashgabat during these days when the festive attire highlighted the magnificent look of the Turkmen capital.

Thanking for the heartfelt wishes the President noted that he was very glad to greet the guests representing Europe’s leading companies that Turkmenistan built the sincere and constructive dialogue with.

Focusing on the intense interest of Germany’s business circles in expanding on the very promising Turkmen market the businessmen said that this interest was conditioned to a larger extent by the successfully developed Turkmen-German relations that had received new incentives to develop during the Turkmen leader’s recent official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany. In this regard the German businessmen put emphasis on the significance of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov’s visit to Munich and expressed the readiness for constructive collaboration in energy sector in particular in which concerting efforts on the basis of the mutual potential could be exceptionally effective.

Ranking among Europe’s largest electric power and natural gas public utility company RWE AG viewed energy-rich Turkmenistan as one of its very promising business partners.

The sides discussed the specific activities to establish cooperation particularly in the fuel and energy sector in the contest of the priorities of Turkmenistan’s energy policy. In this regard the German businessmen highly appreciated the significance of the Turkmen leader’s initiative on security of pipeline infrastructure that was embodied in the UN Special Resolution on the Reliable and Stable Transit of Energy and Its Role in Ensuring the Sustainable Development and International Cooperation. The guests noted that the consistent position and openness for wide international cooperation in the common interests had won Turkmenistan and its President the high prestige on the world arena and symbolized the country’s progress

Reaffirming Turkmenistan’s readiness for multi-aspect joint work with German partners Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed belief that this experience would be effectively replenished through implementing new large-scale projects in the near future.
