The president of Turkmenistan has signed a resolution authorizing the ministry of culture, TV and Radio broadcasting to sign a contract with Turkish company Efor Insaat Yatyrym Sanayi we Dys Tijaret A.S with the aim of reviving the circus art and improving the architectural look of Ashgabat.

The resolution orders the reconstruction of the Turkmen state circus building in Makhtumkuli Avenue. The building occupies 24,7 thousand square meters. A contract will provide for installation of modern equipment, landscaping of 3,8 thousand square meter of adjacent territory as well as reconstruction of a nearby motor tunnel for a total of US $ 17,9 million (VAT excluded).

The reconstruction should start this month. The circus building should be commissioned in one year, January 2010, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat quoting the press service of the head of state.
