Turkmen painters’ works at international exhibition in Moscow

The Turkmen artists present their works at the XII Moscow International Art Salon TsDKh 2009 which will be held in the Central House of Artists from 20 to 29 March. That the Turkmen artists’ works occupy an entire exposition hall for the first time in the history of this annual exhibition vividly testifies to great attention paid by the friendly country to expanding the Turkmen-Russian cultural dialogue. This fact assumes special significance in the light of the coming state visit of the President of Turkmenistan to the Russian Federation that will be an important step towards enhancing full-scale bilateral collaboration.

The exposition organized by the International Confederation of the Artists’ Unions and the CIS Interstate Humanitarian Cooperation Fund is aimed at strengthening the international cultural relations, promoting mutual understanding among the peoples all over the world and supporting talented youth. This year's salon traditionally arranged at the Central House of Artists focuses on the works of the artists, graphic designers, sculptures and ceramics designers from the CIS and Baltic countries. 19 artists’ unions, almost 30 projects, over 20 associations, art galleries and organisations and over a hundred of the personal expositions are presented at the art forum.

Turkmen fine art is represented by the works of the teachers of the Department of Painting and Composition of the State Academy of Arts of Turkmenistan Bayram Nuryev and Annageldy Jumaniyazov. The young painters presented their works at various international exhibitions already. A. Jumaniyazov exhibited the works at the prestigious art galleries in Moscow and Astana and arranged the personal expositions in Germany, Great Britain and Uzbekistan.

The pictures presented in Moscow reflect the modern trends in national art and represent the national traditions. Bayram Nuryev’s series of the works The Melodies of My Childhood is remarkable by the bright colours, philosophy, poetry and originality. Eight pictures carry the visitors away to the bright world of childhood, the world of dreams and inspiration. Each of the pictures has its story though all of them have the common idea of life assertion, love to the native land and people.

Annageldy Jumaniyazov’s The Painter’s World is presented at the exhibition in the light of the author’s perception of the life and people. It is the series of six portraits of the painters – Annageldy Jumaniyazov’s colleagues.

The participation of the Turkmen painters in this prestige international exhibition will become the good school of craftsmanship, promote their professional development and help to establish the contacts with the colleagues from other countries.

The roundtable "Topical and traditional in the young artists’ works from the CIS and Baltic states" will be conducted within the framework of the Salon.
