Anniversary concert of young violinists held in Ashgabat

A gala-concert of young violinist of Mukam ensemble was held at the Palace of Mukam (Melody) of the National Cultural Center on May 17. The concert marked the 30th anniversary of the famous group of young violinists as well as the 50th anniversary of creative work and the 70th birthday of the ensemble's leader, people's artist of Turkmenistan Garold Neimakr.

The concert was preceded by the ceremonial celebration of the ensemble and its leader. On behalf and instructions of Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Turkmen vice prime minister Maysa Yazmukhammedova handed a government award, Turkmenistan order Altyn Asyr, III degree, to Garold Neimark. Valuable gifts were also presented to young artists on behalf of the president of Turkmenistan.

The young violinist ensemble is a repeated winner of state art contest and a prize winner of many international festivals. It has continuously participated in all government concerts. The jubilee programme of the concert featured selected compositions by Turkmen and foreign composers, classics of world music culture, the Turkmenistan.ru correspondent reports from Ashgabat.
