A new book written by Doctor of History, Professor V. I. Sarianidi Margush. The Mystery and Truth of the Great Civilisation appeared in print. It is the final part of a series of the books published earlier Margush. The Ancient Eastern Kingdom in the old delta of the Murghab River and Gonur-depe. The City of Kings and Gods that had drawn a wide response worldwide. The volumes compose the trilogy about one of the earliest civilizations of the East that appeared in the territory of Turkmenistan in the Bronze Age (III-II millennia BC).

The book begins with the opening address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdymuhamedov, who notes that the archeological discoveries made by Victor Ivanovich Sarianidi glorified Turkmenistan as the centre of an earliest civilization.

The book throws light on the mystery and truth of Margush as one of the ancient world civilisations. If the secret is the history of Zoroastrianism – the first religion in the world then the truth is the incontrovertible scientific evidence for that the teaching of Zarathustra appeared in the old delta of the Murghab River.

The book provides the detailed description of the temple complexes excavated around the Gonur fortress in recent years. The author focuses on the mysterious constructions including the Temple of Sun identifiable with the sanctuary of Mithra, the temple of cultic drinks and the temple of water. The book describes in detail the Gonur royal necropolis and the valuable and rare funeral offerings.

The second part focuses on the religious beliefs and customs of the mysterious mythology of the peoples of Margiana and neighbouring Bactria in the Bronze Age.

The book helps the readers all over the world to find out that Turkmenistan was the homeland for one of the highly developed and might states in the East, the historical truth of which will occupy a worthy place in the world history.

The book printed in Germany contains over 200 coloured pictures and the text is presented in Turkmen, Russian and English. It is prepared for publication by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan (TDH).
