Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a number of resolutions at a government meeting on May 12. The documents authorize the construction of new regional museums in the administrative centers of three provinces, the cities of Balkanabat, Mary and Turkmenabat.

Tourism and Culture : Turkmenistan to invest Euro 55 million in development of Mollakara resort
The ministry of health and medical industry of Turkmenistan is to sign a contract with Turkish company Erku for the design and construction of a new recreation center for 500 people, a two-storey hotel, and a solarium for 300 people on the bank of Duzly lake in the Mollakara resort. A residential house with improved conveniences for 18 flats will be also built for staff. Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed a decree to this effect "with a view to enlarging the Mollakara resort, further strengthening its material and technical base and enhancing its services to meet recreation needs of people in full."

Each year Victory Day is celebrated in Turkmenistan as an event of imperishable value, as a nationwide holiday. Various events are arranged throughout the country to commemorate the heroic deed of the glorious defenders of the Motherland, all those, who endured the ordeals and hardships of the wartime. These include the meetings with the widows of the Turkmen soldiers, who perished in the battlefields, and the war veterans, who are held in high respect in the Turkmen state.
