Turkmen central print media published a programme of performances by masters of art and culture of the Russian Federation as part of Days of Russian Culture in Turkmenistan from 6 to 11 April.

Representatives of 31 countries will participate in the international off-road rally "Silk Road - 2009" which will cut across Russia, Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan. This was announced by rally director Semen Yakubovich during a meeting of the organizing committee held in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan in the city of Kazan on 1 April.

Representatives of Turkmen diaspora living in the Russian Federation, Turkey, Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will participate in the 2nd International Festival of World Turkmens titled "Turkmenistan - country of transformations". The festival will be held in Ak Bugdai district of Akhal province from 1 to 4 April.

The Turkmen artists present their works at the XII Moscow International Art Salon TsDKh 2009 which will be held in the Central House of Artists from 20 to 29 March. That the Turkmen artists’ works occupy an entire exposition hall for the first time in the history of this annual exhibition vividly testifies to great attention paid by the friendly country to expanding the Turkmen-Russian cultural dialogue.
