Obraztsov Puppet Theater performs in Ashgabat

The Obraztsov State Academic Puppet Theatre performed in Ashgabat on 9 April as part of the days of Russian culture in Turkmenistan.

The theatre brought "Best of Obraztsov" show in Turkmenistan. The show is made of best scenes of famous classic plays such as "Amazing Concert", Don Juan, a renewed solo concert by Obraztsov. Spectators got the unique opportunity to appreciate humor of master of ceremonies Eduard Aplombov, see famous Tyapa and other legendary characters.

Ekaterian Obraztsova, the honored artist of Russia, handed a book to the troupe of the Turkmen State Puppet Theatre, including recently published "Diaries of Obraztsov" as well as a statuette symbolizing a theatre founded by the great puppeteer.

"Our theatre's participation in the days of Russian culture in Turkmenistan is very important and necessary action. We restore our old ties. We are happy to perform here, that we came here and brought a programme featuring the best of what Sergei Vladimirovich staged, she said in an interview with the Turkmen State News Agency (TDH).
